I’ve Switched to Wordpress! || Ft. the link to my new blog and my many thanks to the blogging community thus far!!

Hi there! After almost three years with Blogger I’ve decided to finally make the switch to Wordpress! While I’ve enjoyed using blogger as a platform and have made tons of blogging and bookish friends alike I hope y’all will follow me through my transition to my new blog!

My Review:

Pros

• Maia
• Edan
• Maia and Edan
• THE TAILORING LIKE *jaw drops*
• Seriously the garments were squeezing the breath from my very lungs
• The fact that Maia doesn’t let silly things like rules and tradition stop her from being the badass that she is and going after what she wants
• loved the plot development
• DID NOT expect most of the turns in which this book went in a complete mind exploding direction (lets just say about half way through... things got a bit MORE interesting-- which is like how is that possible when it was already so good?!)
• Also any scene with Maia and Edan doing cute romantic things *my heart*
• Excellent smooch scenes 
• Super fabulous magic uses 
• ALSO THE ENDING HAS ME SHOOK AND INTRIGUED AND ALSO WHY IS THE NEXT BOOK NOT PUBLISHED??

Cons

• Really don't think there was much I did not like. Expect for the fact that I currently do not have the sequel. Which is a fact in itself that is depressing.

My Review:

Pros

• THE CHARACTERS!!
• No seriously. I loved Rhen so very much. I loved how they didn’t make him broody or possessive but rather more trapped and depressed. I thought the characters were all really written... and in depth and its like I was experiencing their emotions and the angst... ahhhh love love love when I feel connected to characters!
• Harper was also an amazing ball of fire. Her character was fierce and just a total bull headed teapot of stubbornness and I ADORED her and Rhen moments!! ate em up like candy.
• Grey... what can I say.. I liked him! He was a nice little loyal bean.
• Also the PLOT... sooo imaginative!!
• Loved how the magical kingdom was bridged and intertwined with the life and fears of Harper in the modern world. 

Cons

• But that love triangle CAN BURN IN THE FIERY DEPTHS WERE MY HOPES GO TO DIE. bc your girl here does not do the love triangle thing. Just no. Nip it in the bud. 
• Also it was a tad long. The plot dragged a smidgen at times, but than again I’ve always loved a good slow burn plot. 

End notes: if you have not read these books do yourself a favor and read them. Your soul will be much more bookishly satisfied after doing so. Also any other stray bookish thoughts are welcome in the comments below!

Top 10 Reads of 2019

Wow cannot believe another reading year has come and gone! Like whaat.... of course like the reader I am (and I am sure all of yall are too) I have already set my reading goal for 2020 *hehe* (37 books). I made it a couple of books higher than my previous years goal in the hope it will motivative me to get some dang reading DONE.

1) Legendary by Stephanie Garber

LEGEND. LEGEND. LEGEND. You have my soul!!

2) The Wicked King by Holly Black

Obviously like the best sequel ever written... like ever. 

3) Bloodwitch by Susan Dennard

I love my Aeudan!!

4) A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer

The romance is sooo good. (but a big FAT no to the hint of a love triangle!!) 

5) The Deceivers Heart by Jennifer A. Nielsen

Ok this series is straight FIRE!!

6) The Art of Breaking Things by Laura Sibson

So emotional. So powerful. So so good!

7) Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim

This surprised me... I was like damn... 5 stars. 

8) The Kiss Thief by LJ Shen

I am forever in awe of my LJ Shen QUEEN. 

9) The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh

Two words: Slow-burn. Romance. 

10)  The Becoming of Noah Shaw by Michelle Hodkin

I connect so much with Noah Shaw as a character its not even funny. Dark humor (the wittiness *claps hands*). Insane plot twists. Twisted romance. Loved this!
