October: What I Cannot Wait to Read this Month!

(there's just too many books and not enough time!) Here what I cannot wait to read this month:

A Darker Shade of magic
By: V.E. Schwab
Summary: Kell is one of the last Antari—magicians with a rare, coveted ability to travel between parallel Londons; Red, Grey, White, and, once upon a time, Black.

Kell was raised in Arnes—Red London—and officially serves the Maresh Empire as an ambassador, traveling between the frequent bloody regime changes in White London and the court of George III in the dullest of Londons, the one without any magic left to see.

Unofficially, Kell is a smuggler, servicing people willing to pay for even the smallest glimpses of a world they'll never see. It's a defiant hobby with dangerous consequences, which Kell is now seeing firsthand.

After an exchange goes awry, Kell escapes to Grey London and runs into Delilah Bard, a cut-purse with lofty aspirations. She first robs him, then saves him from a deadly enemy, and finally forces Kell to spirit her to another world for a proper adventure.

Now perilous magic is afoot, and treachery lurks at every turn. To save all of the worlds, they'll first need to stay alive.

I can't remember if  have expressed my NEED for this book yet or not, but did I mention I NEED it? This book sounds so dang good I can't even. I have heard so many times how amazing this book is and I think I'm in book withdraw even though I haven't even read it yet. (BTW it took me several times looking up this book to figure out that there was a man with a red cape on the cover and not just some weird triangle asymmetric shape) Long story short, world jumping, smuggling and/or therivery, and romance? Ya this book is totally up my alley! (read A Darker shade of magic? Dying to read it too? Let me know in the comments below!) (We need to chat!)

This Savage Song
By: Victoris Schawb
Summary: There’s no such thing as safe in a city at war, a city overrun with monsters. In this dark urban fantasy from author Victoria Schwaba young woman and a young man must choose whether to become heroes or villains—and friends or enemies—with the future of their home at stake. The first of two books.

Kate Harker and August Flynn are the heirs to a divided city—a city where the violence has begun to breed actual monsters. All Kate wants is to be as ruthless as her father, who lets the monsters roam free and makes the humans pay for his protection. All August wants is to be human, as good-hearted as his own father, to play a bigger role in protecting the innocent—but he’s one of the monsters. One who can steal a soul with a simple strain of music. When the chance arises to keep an eye on Kate, who’s just been kicked out of her sixth boarding school and returned home, August jumps at it. But Kate discovers August’s secret, and after a failed assassination attempt the pair must flee for their lives.

Wow I just realized I want to read a lot of VE schwab? Maybe its just because all her books sound so magically AMAZING! Ok so hear me out, the first time I read this summary I was like... no. I mean it just didn't sound interesting to me, a weird monster hybrid who secretly wants to be  human just like us? Excuse me if this didn't sound all that great. But alas the world of book blogging has convinced me to give it a try. I mean all I keep hearing about was how amazing it was and how there was finally a book not focused on YA romance (which I kind of need to try because my obsession with romance is kind of all consuming) Anyway can't wait to read this book now!

PS I Still Love You
by: Jenny Han

Summary:Lara Jean didn’t expect to really fall for Peter.
She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren’t. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever.
When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean’s feelings for him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once?

In this charming and heartfelt sequel to the New York Timesbestseller To All the Boys I've Loved Before, we see first love through the eyes of the unforgettable Lara Jean. Love is never easy, but maybe that’s part of what makes it so amazing.

Omg I am so looking forward to reading this! I have it on the top of my book piles right now! The first book was so cute! Plus there was the first two chapters of this book at the end and I just need to know what was in that letter! If you haven't read this series you need to! (it is honestly so cute)

How to Lead a Life of Crime
by: Kirsten Miller

Summary: A meth dealer. A prostitute. A serial killer.

Anywhere else, they’d be vermin. At the Mandel Academy, they’re called prodigies. The most exclusive school in New York City has been training young criminals for over a century. Only the most ruthless students are allowed to graduate. The rest disappear.

Flick, a teenage pickpocket, has risen to the top of his class. But then Mandel recruits a fierce new competitor who also happens to be Flick’s old flame. They’ve been told only one of them will make it out of the Mandel Academy. Will they find a way to save each other—or will the school destroy them both?

Okay so I didn't even know this book existed until Cait from Paper Fury raided about how amazing it was and I have to say I agree. Though I haven't read it yet this book sounds really good and INTENSE! Did you read the part about the drug dealers and the serial killers? I am going to love this book! (wow what does that say about the kind of person I am? I say drug dealers and than I'm like heck ya?) But then I read the part about the forbidden romance and I'm like, oh ya, this is why I cannot live without this book! If you haven't read this one please give it a chance this month because it sounds awesome!

I hope you all get a chance to check out some of these books or tell me about the books your currently loving right now in the comments below! Thanks for stopping by!
